Arrowhead Plastic Engineering is a company who thermoforms plastic parts into a variety of different shapes.

Granulated Plastic for Recycling

I am a resident of Mother Earth and don’t want to see her cluttered with debris, waste and filth.  I also am a person who lives in the 21st Century and understands the benefits, conveniences and necessity of items such as: phones, computers, contact lenses, MRI machines, cars, planes, toys, glasses, safety equipment, tools, boats, and so many other things.  In fact, the list is too long for one small blog post.  All of these items utilize plastic.  Plastic is necessary.  Plastic is helpful.  Plastic is here to stay because the world depends on plastic.   However, like any other material, plastic can turn into pollution if not properly disposed of.

As a custom molder of plastic, we thermoform plastic products every single day at our thermoforming plant and do so for over 100 different industries.  Plastics are VERY diverse and can be utilized in a wide variety of different products and applications as shown in the list of plastic products I mentioned above or can been seen on our thermoformed plastic parts page shown here.  All of the plastic we thermoform are what is known as “thermoplastics”.  A thermoplastic basically means that the plastic can be melted, formed (either via thermoforming, injection molding or some other process), cut up or granulated, melted again and formed again.  Thus, thermoplastics are by their very nature, recyclable.

I get confirmation on a daily basis just how recyclable plastic is.  I receive at least one call or email from a company wanting to buy our plastic granulation every few days.  Arrowhead sells them our plastic scrap material.  The material is then picked up, tested, and resold to other companies who mold plastic and who want to utilize our scrap in their product.  Any material that isn’t sold on the open market or sold as excess inventory (click here for plastic sheet for sale), we sell back to our sheet supplier to be reused.

Granulated Plastic for RecyclingArrowhead is not the only company doing our part in regard to recycling.  Most thermoformers and other plastic processors  are doing their part as well.

If every consumer did their part when it comes to plastic recycling the world would have much less waste. Most cities and towns have curbside recycling or drop-off recycling centers to make it easy for consumers to help the environment remain free of plastic waste. Before you throw that plastic water bottle or plastic toy or grocery bag away, think of the impact on your city.

As a plastic processor, we can’t make people be responsible.  We can’t make consumers care about Mother Earth.  All we can do is set a good example….and that is what we do.  We do our part and recycle…every day.  If we want to keep Mother Earth looking her best and be free from pollutants and contaminants, it is up to all of us.  We all have a shared responsibility in keeping her beautiful and clean.  We are in this together.

Have a project where you want to use only use recycled plastic material?  Give us a call.  We have plenty of options available.
